Paint Spray-Out Cards
See the proposed paint on a real coated sample before the main job
A screen preview cannot reproduce the way real paint behaves under light, particularly with gloss differences, metallic particles, pearls and aged surfaces. A spray-out card gives a practical painted reference that can be checked before a larger application.
How Breakwells uses spray-outs
For suitable non-standard and sample-matched colours, the mixer applies the proposed paint to a test card and allows it to dry. The result can then be compared with the supplied reference. If the colour needs adjustment, the formulation can be refined and another spray-out produced before the final batch is approved.
Why they are useful
- They provide a real painted colour reference rather than a screen simulation.
- They help identify an obvious mismatch before a vehicle, panel or component is painted.
- They allow colour, gloss and hiding behaviour to be reviewed together.
- A retained card can act as a useful visual master for repeat work.
